Buffs are items that perform a number of timed enhancements on your character. There are various types of buffs available.

Speed buffs

A speed buff reduces the time it takes to perform any collection action. A normal gathering cycle is approx. 7 seconds; while a speedy gathering buff is applied, that time is reduced to almost 3 second. All skills have a corresponding buff.

All speed buffs are timed, and the duration is listed in seconds. If a buff is listed with a duration of "7200 seconds", that is 2 hours.

Buffs do not stack. While a buff is applied, if you try to apply a new buff, the exiting buff will be cancelled and the new buff will take its place. If you try to apply the same type of buff, it will refresh the existing buff.

There are two indications that a buff is applied. Your world avatar will have a small icon of a man to the right of your name and guild. Only you can see this icon.

Your character sheet will also indicate if a buff is applied by the presence of a status icon underneath the right-hand equipment column or pressing "C" on your keyboard. You can hover over this icon to see the type of buff applied, as well as the duration remaining.

Experience Buffs

An experience buff is similar, in that it doubles or triples the amount of experience your character gains. It will increase the EXP gained during any skill preformed, during quests, and it will increase the EXP your pets gain.

There are two types of EXP buffs so far, 2x EXP and 3x EXP. The 2x lasts for 2 hours, while the 3x only lasts for 1 hour.

Farm Buffs

Farm buffs are those which assist in watering or fertilizing your farm. Instant Farm Watering will water every possible square on your farm, and Instant Farm Fertilization will fertilize in a likewise manner. Remember that the duration of the farm day is still applied to instant farm watering, and that the water will be consumed as normal at the end of a farm day. Farm buffs are consumable and do not have a timer.
