The region now faces floods that could rival the devastating Great Mississippi Flood of 1927, which was the most destructive flood event in the history of the country. April 24 Regular Maintenance The HKO data center will be undergoing regular maintenance on April 24, 2011. The maintenance will start at 11:00 p.m. EST and is expected to last for two hours. During the downtime, players will not be able to log-on or play HKO.

- April 15, 2011: SanrioTown Easter Egg Making Contest
SanrioTown has come up with a special contest and fabulous prizes just for you. Make this year’s celebration “eggstra” special – join the SanrioTown Easter Egg Making Contest! A contestant should make a Sanrio-themed Easter egg. It should be handmade and not bought from anywhere. The contestant should then make a video of him/her making it and upload it to the Dream Studio.
First prize is 5000 Sanrio Loyalty Points, a Hello Kitty Plush Doll & a Limited Edition Hello Kitty Shirt and Bag!
HKO Offline Event: Clone Me Let’s see how fast you can follow the latest fashion trends with the Clone Me event!
This event is pretty simple. To win, you must send a picture of your character wearing the exact same equipment [headgear, top, bottom and shoes] shown in the pictures that will be added at the start of the event. The first 40 players to post their screenshots will win 1 Sunbright Express Silver Ticket each [good for 5 days unlimited use].
- April 13, 2011: Earthquake Aid 2 results!
The special event HKO Japan Earthquake Aid 2 ended this week and we are proud to announce that HKO players once again showed their generosity by creating a staggering amount of over 1.5 million items for charity! Based on your heroic efforts, HKO and Sanrio Digital will donate US$ 6,041 to Project KIBOW, which raises funds for the aid initiative Civic Force. These results and a receipt of donation will be uploaded on the HKO Japan Earthquake Aid Part 2 page after payment is processed. Thanks to everyone who donated their time and effort in HKO to assist the Japanese people after one of the worst natural disasters in the nation's history.

- March 30, 2011: HKO Japan Earthquake Aid Part 2
Following up on our previous charity event, Hello Kitty Online is proud to announce HKO Japan Earthquake Aid Part 2, in which you can again deliver much-needed help to the people of disaster-stricken Japan. The event will run from April 1 to April 10, 2011. Despite the date, this is NOT an April's fool joke.
- March 24, 2011: HKO Japan Earthquake Aid Results
HKO and Sanrio Digital will donate USD 1,445 to Save the Children’s cause in Japan. The results and receipt will be uploaded on the HKO Japan Earthquake Aid page after payment is processed.
Free 500 Sanrio Loyalty Points! As a way of showing our appreciation to our beloved SanrioTown users, we are giving away 500 SLPs to everybody! We apologize for all the inconveniences caused by the many maintenances that have been done lately.
- March 17, 2011: HKO Japan Earthquake Aid
Hello Kitty Online, Sanrio Digital, and our various partner companies are organizing donations to charity, but in addition we also want to give HKO players a chance to help the people who have suffered so much in this catastrophe. This event runs from March 17 thru March 21, 2011.
ST E-mail Maintenance SanrioTown’s e-mail service will undergo maintenance on March 21 starting at 11:00 A.M. (GMT+8) / 11:00 P.M. (March 20, EST). It is expected to last for 5 hours and end at 4:00 P.M. (GMT+8) / 4:00 A.M. (EST).

There will be a maintenance on the SanrioTown website on March 3 starting at 3:00 P.M. (GMT+8) / 2:00 A.M. (EST). Estimated time of completion will be 2 hours.

- February 24, 2011: New SanrioTown forums are up
The new SanrioTown forums are now live. Click here to visit the new and improved SanrioTown forums. This will be the default forum that users will be directed to starting today.
The old SanrioTown forums will still remain available until March 3, 2011. Please transfer all the important info that you want to keep to the new forums or the wiki before it permanently shuts down.
- February 21, 2011: SanrioTown maintenance
The maintenance on the SanrioTown blog and the authentication system has been completed. Access to the blog has been restored, and players can register and log-on to SanrioTown and HKO again.
- February 18, 2011: School's Out at HKO results
The Singapore and Malaysia contest School's out at Hello Kitty Online is over and the winners are announced. Click through to Lion Games to find out if you are one of the 22 lucky winners.
Content for New SanrioTown forums The SanrioTown forums will be replaced by a new and improved service on February 24, 2011. The new forums are powered by vBulletin, one of the industry standards. The new system is not compatible with the current message boards and therefore we cannot migrate threads from the old forums to the new system. The old forums will be available for 2 weeks and then deleted.

- January 26, 2011: Issue with limited time items
We have become aware of a bug that affects limited-time items, causing them to have incorrect countdown timers. This issue affects ONLY items that expire after a set amount of time. If you have purchased one of the affected items from the Item Mall, please do not withdraw it from the Item Delivery window. As long as you leave your items inside the Delivery Window, you have nothing to worry about.
